DOLPHIN WATCHING ON SEAFARI SWIFT 30/07/20

Jersey Seafaris have been recording dolphin sightings for 8 years! At the end of each year we take a look at any major trends or changes. This year, despite the pandemic, we still recorded a massive 294 sightings. Below you can see how our eagle-eyed crew have spotted dolphins on nearly 40% of all trips.

% CHANCE OF DOLPHIN SIGHTINGS ON SEAFARS

Due to covid restrictions, for the most part of the year, we were unable to leave Jersey’s territorial waters. This left us with 4 main trips for 2020 - Ecrehous, Minquiers, North Coast, South Coast. Fortunately, on all of these trips, you still have a great chance of seeing dolphins.

This year we had very special visit to our amazing little shop in an iconic spot along St. Catherine’s Breakwater. A pod of around 10 Common Dolphin came through the boat moorings and were joined by paddle boarders and swimmers.
