2020 was always planning to be a BIG one for us, we had invested heavily ready for a fantastic & exciting season ahead… & then CV19 hit the world! Despite the lock-down and all of the uncertainties surrounding us we are so proud to list all of the below achievements… We will never forget this year…

  • NEW Charter RIB - Seafari Swift II a magnificent new RIB from Ribquest, room for 9 people to travel in style and comfort - we love her!

  • NEW War Tour Seafari - Liberation 75. We teamed up again with Phil from Jersey War Tours after the success of our North Coast War Tour Seafari to create a new south coast Liberation themed Seafari to celebrate Liberation 75. Covid may have put a stop to that BUT there is always next year. These war tours provide fascinating facts from an expert with some awesome surprise props along the way, we will putting our 2021 schedule together shortly!

  • NEW Shop - The 3 Arches, our little shop in an iconic spot on the Breakwater. This has been a great addition selling coffees snacks and ciabattas which has proved to become a local favourite especially amongst the Seafari crew!

  • NEW Merchandise - We now have our own Seafari clothing line, either purchase from the shop or online through the website. Perfect gifts for loved ones, and the Seafari Smugglers are Jersey’s must have swimming attire!!

  • NEW Seafari HQ - Next door to the shop we now have a base to run and manage Seafari operations and what a view!! So any questions re charters, seafaris pop down and say hi! Open: March - October.

The 2020 season has certainly been unprecedented (buzz word of the year!). CV19 hit just as we were starting up, we managed a couple of trips before the dreaded lockdown. Then it was thinking caps on, constant studying of all the guidelines, various task force zoom meetings on how to operate in any guise possible. It was clear people were going to be in need of a SEAFARI HOLIDAY!!!

Jersey’s Government Co-Funding Scheme came into an affect which was a great help after constantly pressing the cancel/ refund/ credit button on so many bookings!!!

Missing 8 weeks on the water was a huge loss, but we were certainly kept busy with prepping The 3 Arches and getting our procedures in place.

Mid May and just in time for the school half term we were able to get back out there in limited capacity running private household charters restricted to just Jersey waters. It was the first chance to get ‘off the rock’ for both us and our local customers. These were some of the best charters we have ever had, it really made us all appreciate what an incredible place we live in! Procedures were followed (masks, sanitisation, cleaning, distancing etc) and it felt good that we good operate safely but above all enjoyably!!

Operations were still incredibly limited, boats were typically only made up with 2-6 passengers (one household), prices were reduced to reflect this and trips were strictly in Jersey waters only. By July physical distancing was reduced to 1m which enabled us run both regular Seafaris and private charters (reduced numbers and lots of protocols in place). Also our new boat finally arrived in Jersey which was delayed by CV19, after half a season missed we were BACK!! n.b still missing our French and Channel Island neighbours!

Jersey’s borders were now open and just in time for the summer holidays and the weather played ball too!! It has been incredible to see so many islanders supporting, exploring and rediscovering their love for local island life! It seemed the dolphins were pleased to see us too - July, August and September we enjoyed a record amount of dolphins sightings!

The island and the local population really rallied together and I for one feel lucky to have been in Jersey throughout the Pandemic. Some of the Government schemes have helped small business like us, £100 Spend Local card in our opinion was of great benefit to us. From myself & the team, we want to say: A MASSIVE THANK-YOU to all of our loyal customers as well as our new ones - we hope to see you again and again. We live in a fantastic place and I hope what we provide can continue to offer the ultimate Jersey Experience.

Moving forward, we are working hard on the upcoming 2021 season. Private charter requests are coming & dates are getting booked up, we will (hopefully) be able to explore beyond Jersey Waters - but time will tell. Please get in contact if you have any special occasions that you would like to celebrate… Missed stag / hen / anniversaries / birthdays…Or just because!
