The Minquiers are a group of islands and rocks situated 9 miles south of Jersey. The largest island, Maîtresse Île, has a cluster of small cottages used in the summer months. Jersey has jurisdiction over the islands makings the small huts Britains most southerly buildings! A typical trip would be split in half between the main island and an outer sandbank. The sandbank is ideal for paddleboarding, swimming and picnics. Expect to see a variety of birdlife, especially in the breeding season. If you’re lucky, you may spot a resident seal or pod of dolphins on your crossing.
